Cooking Corner: Easy Chocolate Chip Brownies

Chocolate lovers, cookie fans, and brownie enthusiasts alike will all enjoy this conglomeration of both brownies and chocolate chip cookies. In theory, any type of cookie will make an interesting combination to a normal brownie recipe.

Ingredients:
20 oz. brownie mix,
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
2 eggs
17 1/2 ounces chocolate chip cookie mix or tube of already-prepared cookie dough.
1/2 cup butter
1 egg

Directions:
Grease a 13×9 inch metal pan and preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare the brownie mix first in a medium size bowl, mixing in the oil, water, and two eggs. Stir for about one minute, or until the batter is well-mixed. Spread into the pan.

Prepare the cookie dough next, either mixing in the butter and egg to store-bought mix, or slightly warming up a tube of cookie dough in order to get it more spreadable. If time allows, using a favorite recipe for chocolate chip cookies is preferred. Next take spoon-sized chunks of the cookie dough and place it all over the brownie mix, pressing down lightly. Try to evenly distribute the cookie dough, but do not worry if the whole pan is not covered.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean and the chocolate chip cookie part is golden brown. Let cool before removing from pan, serve and enjoy.
