Women's Soccer Remains Unbeaten, Advances to RMAC Tourney Finals

MPR_CSM_RMAC_Soccer_vs_Regis_11-8-13-2In Golden on a cold Friday night, the No. 2 ranked Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team kept their outstanding season going with a 1-0 semifinal win against Regis in the RMAC tournament. The women moved to 18-0-1 on the season and recorded their fourteenth shutout of the year advancing to the finals of the RMAC tourney as they look to claim their third consecutive RMAC tournament title on Sunday.

Orediggers suffer stunning last minute defeat in the semifinals

The No. 3 seed Colorado Mesa Mavericks (11-5-4) defeated the No. 2 seed Colorado School of Mines (11-6-1) men's soccer team in the semifinals of the RMAC Tournament Friday with two late goals to grab the 2-1 victory. It was a tough loss for the Orediggers who had the lead at 1-0 going into the eighty-sixth minute.

No. 2 Women's Soccer has successful Senior Night against RMAC rivals Metro State

In their final home contest of the season, and Senior Night, the No. 2 Colorado School of Mines Women's Soccer team faced off against Metro State in a battle of two of the RMAC's best and the result was a 3-0 win. Now 16-0-1 on the season (13-0-0 RMAC), Mines is ranked number two in the nation, making it their highest ranking in school history. The win marks the thirteenth straight win, the twenty-third straight conference match without a loss, 31 straight unbeaten matches, and the thirteenth shutout of the year for the Lady Orediggers.

Mines loses heartbreaker in double overtime to Fort Lewis

The Colorado School of Mines men's soccer team lost a heartbreaker in double overtime to Fort Lewis on Friday by a score of 5-4. Mines is now 10-5-1 on the year, and 8-5-0 in the RMAC.

Women's Soccer continues on record-breaking streak

The No. 5 Colorado School of Mines Women's soccer team played four games over the course of eight days and were victorious in all four appearances, getting shutouts in three of them. On Friday Oct. 11, Colorado Mesa visited Mines; then, the lady Orediggers hit the road for games on Sunday October, 13 at Colorado Christian University and Wednesday October, 16, at Regis before finishing off this stretch with a home game this past Friday against Fort Lewis.
