Community Spotlight: South Philly Cheese Steaks

South Philly Cheese Steaks was jam-packed Thursday night due to a fundraiser for the Colorado School of Mines student government. The store was closed to the public for the night and the delectable Mushroom Cheese Steaks were served for only a dollar and each sandwich came with a free drink.

Not only does this restaurant support CSM with fundraisers every year, but there is also a student special of a free twenty-two ounce drink with the purchase of a sandwich. This special is provided everyday of the week from open to close. South Philly Cheese Steaks also contributes to the community of Golden by providing coupons in the take-out menus. The restaurant is also very affordable with prices ranging from four to nine dollars.

Don’t know what to order? Not a problem! South Philly Cheese Steaks has a wide variety of cheese steaks such as those with peppers, mushrooms, marinara, chicken, and even buffalo chicken. There are fourteen different cheese steaks you can pick from along with many different cheeses and toppings that you can add for a small amount ($.25-$.75).

Not a big fan of cheese steaks? There are many other types of food you can order including hoagies, sandwiches, jumbo wings, chicken tenders, salads, and even dessert. There are also sides such as french fries, chips, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks.
