Community Spotlight – Angelo’s CDs and More

Nestled off of 32nd Street and Youngsfield Ave in the Applejacks and Wal-Mart shopping center is a little known music store named Angelos’ CDs and More. Since their first store opened in Aurora, Angelos has been serving the local community for over 20 years. Upon entering the store, it is obvious that what it lacks in size, it makes up for in uniqueness. Stickers, posters, and even bobble heads adorn the walls and shelves of the store.

No matter the genre, from 1920’s soul music to modern pop, Angelos carries an ample supply and variety of music needs. Unlike many of their larger competitors, Angelos has a knowledgeable staff that is willing to help their costumers find anything in the store. Angelo’s store manager stated that, “it’s not uncommon at all to have customers come in and ask about this ‘one song they heard’ at some local venue.”

One of the largest reasons, besides the selection, that brings customers to Angelos is the prices. Brand new CDs and DVDs are priced at market, but where the real value is at is in the used section. The average price of a used CD at Angelos is between 3-6 dollars. Compared to buying the same CD on sites like ITunes, Angelos offers major discounts to the consumer. In summary, Angelos is a friendly music shop that should not be overlooked.
