On Saturday, March 31, from Noon till 2:00pm an Open House will be held at Calvary Church Golden. Located at 1320 Arapahoe Street this event enters off 14th Street. Come meet your neighbor and take a tour. Calvary covers the entire city block with many amenities. Looking for a place to hold meetings or run a fund raiser? Calvary is the perfect venue for CSM.
Calvary Church located in the heart of downtown Golden thrives and is always busy with the business of the community. The Historic Chapel located on 13th Street was built in 1867 and since has never missed a Sunday’s worship. This Chapel is the oldest Church in the state of Colorado that is still serving an active worship schedule. Beautiful and enchanting the interior of this Historic Chapel is ornate and inviting. Services are held both Saturday evenings and Sunday Mornings.
Equally beautiful is The Great Hall located off 14th Street. This Chapel was completed in 2000 and serves for both worship and other functions. From wedding receptions to Girl Scout events, business meetings to CSM events, this convenient location works. The Great Hall boasts a tall wooden ceiling laced by wooden beams, large hanging chandeliers and top of the line audio visual systems.
A strong neighbor of CSM, Calvary Church holds weekly bible study meetings for the students and follows this fellowship with a free hot lunch. Students of CSM are invited to stop by and meet the staff. Getting involved is a great way for students to feel quickly at home here in Golden.
Something new is happening at Calvary! A wedding ministry is building that supports Christian couples by providing affordable, elegant weddings – complete with receptions – for less than one-third the nation’s average costs. Wedding sizes from 30-250 guests can be accommodated with multiple on-site wedding locations. Cori Mustin heads the wedding ministry work.
