No Fair Fights to play at Sigma Alpha Epsilon

This coming Friday, November 2, the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon will host a live concert featuring the band No Fair Fights (NFF). A live DJ will be there after the concert. In addition, Sig Ep will also hold a costume contest with prizes to be given out to the best individual costumes or themed group of costumes.

NFF has been performing since 2002 after getting their start in Denver. Since then, NFF has segued from punk rock to a more “aggressive, melodic, post-hardcore sound” as a short description of their history explains. NFF has had great success in Denver by playing on KBPI, KTCL, and KCSU. They had their music play on multiple seasons of MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge as well as on FX’s hit series “The Riches.” NFF played in Denver as part of the Vans Warped Tour in 2003, 2006, and 2011, and opened for several national acts such as Unwritten Law, Pepper, Finch, Shinedown, and The Greeley Estates.

The concert will not just host NFF. A live DJ will be present after the concert as part of the after party, which is also a costume party. Guests are strongly encouraged to wear a costume to the party. A contest will be held for the best costume worn and for the best group costume. Whoever wins will receive prizes that will be announced at the concert itself.

The concert will be held at the Sigma Phi Epsilon house at 1807 West Campus Road just west of the campus and will be open to the entire campus. It is the red building in-between the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house and the Fiji house. The concert runs from 8:30 to 9:30 pm, but the doors open at 8:15. The party will last until 11 pm.
