Fans of Marvel’s bow wielding Avenger were given a special treat on September 13th with the release of the official trailer for Hawkeye, the latest Marvel Disney Plus TV series. The show will debut later this year on November 24th and if it’s anything like WandaVision or Loki it’s sure to be a hit! The trailer gave us a loose summary of the plot: Clint is on vacation with his family when he discovers that someone is running around dressed as his dark alter ego, Ronin (go watch Avengers: Endgame if you need a refresher) and Clint now has to team up with another well known archer to figure out what’s going on.

The trailer offers fans a first look at Hailee Stienfield’s character Kate Bishop, aka… Hawkeye (yes there’s two of them now, it’s going to be great). Clint Barton and Kate Bishop have been teaming up in the Marvel comics since the early 2000s and fans of the witty duo have been clamoring for an MCU appearance for years. Hawkeye looks like it’s finally going to make that wish come true, and if the sarcastic banter featured in the trailer is any indication, the team up will be well worth the wait.

The trailer is full of surprises and references to the Hawkeye comics; The Tracksuit Mafia, Lucky the Pizza Dog, and Clint’s quiver of trick arrows are just a few of the numerous comic book references scattered without. The trailer also revealed that the show will take place at Christmas time and appears to take full advantage of New York City’s spectacular Christmas season.

In short, the show looks to be fun, hilarious, and packed with Christmas cheer, all while still showcasing the action sequences and superhero shenanigans Marvel Studios is known for. We can’t wait to see more of Hawkeye and Hawkeye on November 24th!
