After a pandemic hiatus in 2021, the annual Goldens In Golden celebration had a successful, and adorable, return this year. Hundreds if not thousands of Golden Retrievers and their humans gathered on Washington Avenue and in Golden’s parks last Saturday February 5th to recognize International Golden Retriever day (February 3rd). Photos were taken, friends made, and fur blew in the wind like snow. Some of the good boys and girls dressed for the occasion with hats or bandanas, others just sported their leash, all received tons of attention. Mines students visited the festival with many expressing the event was stress reducing and joyful. A welcome interlude in these difficult times.
