“There has been an unacceptable and possibly dangerous change in the student verification for health insurance policy. In previous semesters I have been able to get a student verification for health insurance form, to continue my coverage through my father’s health insurance (Rocky Mountain UFCW), filled out in a matter of minutes with a quick look up of my CWID and a stamp. A change this semester required it to be mailed out and filled out by a national service and then mailed back so that I could pick it up. Three weeks later it has not returned and my bills for glasses and medical expenses are piling up. Any policy change that could negatively impact the continuity of health insurance for students is highly inappropriate and possibly dangerous. I know that I will not be able to be helped, but for future students this policy change must be dealt with aggressively and quickly.”

For this topic I referred to Zachary Boerner and two Student Government representatives that sat on the Technology Fee Committee last year to get their input on the feasibility of this request.
Zachary Boerner:
“While having more computers with dual monitors would be nice for many uses, the cost still remains prohibitive given the required quantity and the fact that many people would not use the dual setup. The Tech Fee committee on campus receives over 30 proposals a semester and since not all of these can be funded, items must be prioritized. Dual monitor support is not, compared to many other projects on campus, a high priority. However, if you wish to see more dual-monitor support, you should probably talk to CCIT and inform them that you would like to see more labs that have this ability.”
We need more PARKING.
Given the fact that the Q and F lots are almost never completely full, I will presume that you mean that we need more parking at locations nearer the classes you attend. Moving forward, long term parking (parking for those who live in the residents halls) will be migrated to the Q and F lots. That measure will be delayed by the fact that parking passes have already been allocated. However, there currently is an effort to persuade those living in the residents halls to park in those lots to allow those who commute to campus daily to have access to closer spaces. As to the oversold state of the General parking permits, there are plans to raise their price relative to Commuter parking so that General parking will not be quite so oversold.
Why aren’t there power cords to rent in the digger den? Suggestion: Keep 4-5 extension cords in stock, and hold BlasterCard during rental.
