Cooking corner: White chocolate cranberry cookies

These cookies are a sure way to make study sessions more bearable, or meet new friends. The cranberries and white chocolate combine to create a unique taste. This recipe is recommended without walnuts, but they can be added to taste. Make sure to stir by hand for chunky cookies. The following recipe will yield about two cookie sheets worth of cookies, or 1-2 dozen depending on size.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup dried cranberries

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease cookie sheets, unless using baking stones. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar using a spoon or fork. Add in egg and vanilla. Combine flour and baking soda in a separate bowl. Add dry mixture to butter and sugars. Pour in chocolate chips and cranberries to preference.

Drop dough onto a baking sheet. Bake for 8 minutes for chewy cookies. Allow them to cool and enjoy before they all disappear.
