Cardboard Boat Race 2014

The E-Days Cardboard Boat Race found people gathering on the sides of Clear Creek on Saturday morning. The morning provided excellent weather for the race; however, the water of Clear Creek was a little chilly. After their races, various contestants stated that their legs were still shaking and tense after about an hour. But that is what happens when people try to sail down a river two days after a snow storm. Luckily for all of the contestants and for the school, no one was harmed during the cardboard boat race.

LHC

The game “2048” is currently sweeping across campus, but there is another game that is equally as addicting. “LHC” is the more science based cousin of “2048.” “LHC” is a physics-based collision game. Instead of colliding numbers like in “2048,” physics particles are smashed into each other in order to create larger, more impressive particles.

Dinosaur Statue on Campus?

Everyone on campus has seen the strange stone sculpture on Kafadar Commons. No one is really sure what it is supposed to be or why it is there. The statue is to be replaced by something much larger and more straight forward.

“The Picture of Dorian Gray”

“The Picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde is an incredible book that will force any reader to look at themselves and the world in a completely different light. “The Picture of Dorian Gray” was published in 1890 and was originally just a story in the “Lippincott’s Monthly Magazine.” It was not until 1891 that it was officially published as a book in its own right. Since then, however, “The Picture of Dorian Gray” has been acclaimed as a ‘classic’ and is recommended for almost everyone to read.

Cheap Vegetarian Lasagna

Vegetarian lasagna is an excellent choice for anyone, whether vegetarian or not. This is for one simple reason: it is cheap. As a poor college student, it is often difficult to cook on a budget and still make tasty meals. Vegetarianism is a good solution to this because meat can be quite pricey so avoiding it can be cost effective. Most people avoid vegetarian food because they are under the ignorant assumption that vegetarian food either is not very good or that it just is not ‘right’. Anyone under that assumption is wrong. Vegetarian meals can be delicious and sometimes it is impossible to tell that the meat is missing. So to save money and try some vegetarian food, make a vegetarian lasagna. This is an incredibly simple recipe that anyone can follow.
